SPOTLIGHT 💐

PURBA DAS

Purba Das_edited.jpg

Congratulations to our very own, Purba Das, who has been selected to serve on the Louisiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council (LYAC) for the 2025–2026 term, one of only six students chosen from the Acadiana region. This state council gives high school students a direct voice in shaping policies that affect young people across Louisiana.

Purba brings a strong record of leadership to the role. She is currently a member of our WISE Women of Acadiana STEM Mentorship Program, a Chief Justice in YMCA Youth & Government, Brent Henley Youth Leader at Broussard Chamber of Commerce, and Community Initiatives & Civic Engagement Chair for the Lafayette Consolidated Government. Her appointment to LYAC reflects her dedication to civic engagement and marks another milestone in her efforts to amplify youth voices in state policy.
