The recently concluded Louisiana Region VI Science and Engineering Fair brought together some of the brightest middle and high school students from 17 schools across the Region. The event provided an exciting platform for young scientists and engineers to present their research projects to educators, industry professionals, and STEM experts in various fields such as physics and astronomy, plant sciences, chemistry, engineering technology, and behavioral sciences.

The fair featured an exceptionally high level of competition, reflecting both the quality of the projects and the thorough preparation of the students. A total of 205 students presented 145 projects, showcasing the depth of STEM talent in our region. During the awards ceremony, outstanding students received recognition for excellence in research, creativity, and scientific impact. In addition, the top two projects from each category will advance to the state competition, representing the region on a larger stage.

The Region VI Science and Engineering Fair continues to serve as a launching pad for the next generation of scientists and engineers, fostering a lasting spirit of discovery and innovation among young learners.
